Job Purpose
Our client is looking for a Market Intelligence and Consumer Insight (MICI) Analyst to join a new division covering Residential Developments in the UK. This role will be based out of their office in the City of London.

The work will mainly consist of supporting the client with market analysis and consumer insight to inform Strategy, Land Acquisition, Design and Marketing of new residential developments in the UK.

Experience of the construction industry would be useful, but is not essential.

Principle Duties & Accountabilities
The work will be carried out by a mix of desk top studies and spending time in the locality, speaking to Local Agents, Experts and Consumers to get an understanding of the local market (both in terms of Customer Target Groups, Consumer preferences, Sales Values, Competition and more in detail around the location of potential sites (i.e. available amenities, transport links, etc). This will be used as input into the decision making/bid process for proposed land acquisitions and also in order to build in Consumer Preferences and aspirational lifestyle qualities into any new developments through the design process as well as assisting the Marketing & Sales team in their approach.

On a strategic level, work will go into identifying and analysing target geographies for land search as well as Consumer Insight to inform branding and positioning.

Key Working Relationships
Reporting to Manager Market Intelligence & Consumer Insight.
Key relationships to outside parties (market researchers, estate agents etc) in gathering intelligence.
Will work as part of the specific Project team for every project consisting of Project Development, and Marketing & Sales.


Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications Required
You will be part of a small team building the business and as such must exhibit the right culture and values and not be afraid to roll up your sleeves and assist in other areas wherever necessary.
Key skills needed are: attention to detail and objective analysis, ability to present this in a clear and concise way, an eye for capturing softer issues around consumer preferences.
The candidate should have drive and own initiative, being good at listening and working as a part of a team.
Educated to degree level (or equivalent).
Background in or experience of market research. Consumer-oriented business, sales & marketing, product/business development welcome.
